Welcome back to all our children, parents and staff after the summer holidays. We are so happy to see all the smiling faces in the morning and the children certainly feel raring to go!
We held our AGM this week and would like to say a huge thank you to our departing Committee members, who have done the most brilliant job for preschool over their tenure. Preschool is a charity and cannot run without these volunteers, so if you feel you can give something back do please contact one of the Committee. A very special mention goes to Jo Strong, our outgoing Secretary, who has been a Committee member for 8 years- an immense contribution to preschool and the community.
A very big welcome to our new Committee members. We are pleased to introduce our new Chair, Dina Clarkin, new Treasurer, Emma Cousins, new Secretary, Poppy Johnson, and new Hall Rep, Gemma Burrough! Please do say hello if you see them at preschool, Toddler Group or just in the village playground.
Speaking of Toddler Group, after the summer of escapades around East Devon we are now back in the hall on a Friday morning from 9:30-11:30, so if you have young children or know someone who does please do come along and invite your friends. It’s a warm and welcoming group which is very supportive and there’s nearly always cake.
We also hosted our first Preschool Yoga session with Caroline and it was a huge hit! Thank you so much Caroline and we are so looking forward to seeing the children bloom as they practice their poses and movements.
Please do be aware of the building work taking place at the Hall from the 18th of September. Thank you very much to the Hall Committee for helping us find a great solution for our parents, we can’t wait to see the results of the makeover.
